It does play dvds well, but not satisfy my expectation so I gave it away to my nanny.
br /It's thick, with big remote control. The screen flicks like interlace mode. I tried to change setup, option, but problem persists.
br /Can see screen tremble in menu level, but when playing movies I don't notice it.

The Good:
br /1. Long Battery life.
br /2. Seems to handle dirty DVDs better than other players we've had.
br /3. Controlls are pretty easy to use, even by 4 year olds, with "The Bad" exceptions.
br /4. At around $75, good price point.

br /1. Our four year olds get the controls dirty. Sony might consider some kind of "spill proof" type controls.
br /2. The lock button is in an awful location.
